On the next release I will be adding a simple WYSIWYG editor for ease of use (with the option to edit in plain text as well)

Perhaps you might consider allowing it to share whatever editors are in the /editors/ folder?
Or perhaps at least CKEditor as it's the recommended addon for adding WYSIWYG for the admin to share.

That would make sense as it would save a bit of web space, uploads and updating scripts.
