who's online send back to login

I have set 1.5 in a test file, when I go to who's online and click any of the options
Updating Manually OFF 5 sec 15 sec 30 sec 1 min
Exclude Spiders? Yes No Exclude Admin IP Addresses? Yes No
I return to the admin login in page, this also happens when in archive manager when I try to trim emails. I have search and tried some of the fixes, like in checking that SSL is www but no help. I have found that this happens using email archive manager in live site also. Any ideas? Thank you

As I checked into this I found that I can't login to the admin test site in IE security just spins and nothing happens no error report, but can in Firefox. Also in live site admin IE trims emails, but in firefox I get sent back to login page
