[Not a bug] Adding date to invoice number not working

I copy and pasted the following code to add the date to my invoice numbers I got from another post and tried to fix the errors as posted but it is still not working.

<td class="main"><b><?php echo ENTRY_ORDER_ID . $oID . '-' . date(Y,strtotime($order->info['date_purchased'])) ; ?></b></td>

Anyone see where I went wrong?

I tried different variations. I also had YMD as I do want the day month and year.

This is not a Zen Cart bug.
It's a problem with your own customizations.

Please don't file Bug Reports that are not a problem in the Zen Cart core code.
