Fual Slimbox Ver 2.0

Anyone out there that could help me? I would like to keep Slimbox as it doesn't take as much space as Lightbox, but somehow it doesn't show the NEXT & PREV links. It works if you click each image separate, you get the lightbox effect with the close button on the bottom corner. If anyone could help me, that would be great. Thank you

I am using v. 1.5 and Image Handler 4. I did merge the code like it said in Image Handler and after I did that, Fualbox did work. It wasn't showing the nav links even before I installed IH4. Other than that, Fualbox seems to be working fine.

Ok so I posted in the IH4 thread and didn't see this, glad I am not the only one not getting the Next/Previous icons....whew. Maybe I am not as stupid as I thought!

Next and previous not working. I have a clean v1.5 zencart with IH4. Each additional image only opens separately. Firefox and IE work differently as well. Firefox has black background on all images. IE has black on master image and opens additional images in a new white background window but without a close button.

Looks like there isn't any support for this thread or mod. Too bad, I'd rather use Slimbox than Lightbox, because of the faster and smaller load time and file size. Can anyone out there help all us who really love this mod and would love to see a fix for it? Thanks!

Just to let everyone know, when I put the additional images file from 2.1.0 with the files from 2.1.0a, BOTH image handler and FS are working with additional images showing.

I'm sorry, but what does that even mean? I have a new zen store, that is run on zen 1.5, and installed the Fual Slimbox v2_1_0a. Like all the others here, I get all of my mulitiple pictures as I did before, but there is no Next button in the popup.

Are you saying I should go back and find an older version of Fual Slimbox v2_1_0, extract a single file: /includes/modules/classic (my template)/additional_images.php, and then upload it to overwrite the same file from the installation?

Is that the root of the problem, and if I can find this one file all will be well?

Well, I found the older file, and uploaded the file "additional_images.php" via FTP to the target, overwriting it.

I was happy as a clam to find that it worked. For about 10 seconds, until I clicked on the proud new "next" button. the screen went blank, I got that spinning java looking fan thing, and... nothing. I backed the browser, reloaded the page, and scrolled down farther to where he additional images were at the bottom. Yup, they were still there, all right. Clicked on one of them, and the slimbox screen appears, but fails to load any image. Go back to the main image at the top, and the same behavior... it loads no problem, showing a "next" button, but won't next to anything.

I went ahead and reloaded the newer .php file... while it doesn't work completely, at least it loads the graphic.

surely somebody knows how to fix this. Do I need to find the author of the mod and talk to him?

You mean the ORIGINAL author of Fual Slimbox???

Well.. according to his profile he hasn't been active on this site since 2008

If you can find him and he is willing to help, then by all means you should try to contact the author.

Zen Cart (like this add-on) is open source.. Being that it is open source, and the fact that original author has not updated this add-on in quite some time, both dbltoe and myself took it upon ourselves to update this mod to work with current versions of Zen Cart.. If either one of us could correct the current issue we would.. Speaking for myself, I am truly not sure how to fix the current issue..

If you really want to use this mod, and cannot locate the original author, or if someone doesn't come along and post a solution, you have a few options:

• Hire someone to fix this for you
• Install a different lightbox altogether (Zen Lightbox works very well)
• Live without the buttons

So I'll seek out the Zen Lightbox and install it. Are there any particularities I should know about in going from one to the other?
