CEON addon Single Product Category URL Forwarding Issue

this is for anyone who can assist with this issue. What we have noticed is that for example on our site www.rattanzone.co.uk we have categories which have one product in them. If you click on the category it automatically forwards to the product link. This can be seen in the address bar at the top. We dont want this to happen is there anyway to fix this issue with the CEON addon so that the behaviour is different. We want the category url displayed with no forwarding to product urls even if there is only one product in the category. The reason we require this behaviour is that for SEO we need the category url to be not forwarding otherwise we cant optimize the category for the search engines.
Please advise.

PS. This goes out to Conor too if he see this posting. Although I will pm him also.

Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings - Skip 1-prod Categories to False.

Thanks stevesh. That is weird that feature is built into Zencart why would you want to skip one product categories like that. Anyway I really appreciate your post regarding this has saved me a big headache.

I think the idea is that if you only have one product in a category, showing the visitor a product 'listing' (with one item) would just entail an unnecessary click on their part to get to the product info page.

I'm not qualified to comment on your SEO explanation, but many here insist that the search engines index dynamic URLs (like the ones Zencart generates) just fine, and mods like ceon's aren't necessary.

Fair point about the extra click but SEO reasons would overide this customer focussed reason this time round.
The SEO friendly url Vs dynamic urls debate will go on forever. I sometimes look at the Matt Cutts videos on Youtube and what he says in those does not always get borne out in the real world. He kind of lets you believe that just building a well structured site plus quality inward links should be enough to get decent ranking. Maybe so if everyone was playing by the same rules. And maybe Google change their algorithm every so often to keep adwords piling up the cash aaah I'm rambling now!!
