add external links in the "important links" side box

i am almost finished just a little tweakin needed now
please can someone tell me how to get rid of "gift certificates" and "google" in the important links sidebox
also i want to add some external links inside but the're only showing as i've written them and not opening a new window to the external link?? not sure what's wrong but hoping someone will point me in the right direction. i have managed to rename "important links"

The 'Important Links' sidebox displays links to EZ pages.

You'll have to delete the Google and Gift Certificates EZ pages in Admin - Tools - EZ Pages.

I don't understand your question about external links.

If by external you mean a page outside ZC, create a new ez-page, leave the text area blank, and put the link in the external link field, and to open it in new window select the option.
