Problem with CEON URI Mapping

Hey everyone,

zen cart 1.5

I am having issues with Ceon URI, I installed it and followed the instruction including the .htaccess file but now, when i click on my categorie link, the page that comes up is always the main page even though the url change.

If I turn off the ceon uri, it works fine.

What could be the problem? What am i missing?

Any help will be more than welcome

Have you checked that the version of Ceon URI mapping you are using is compatible with zen v1.5.0?

An out of date version does all kind of funny things when switched on.

I am using the 4.7 version. I have it installed in another and it works just fine but not on this. It keeps showing the home page

Why do you believe it is a unnecessary add-on?

If your main reason for using it is "SEO", it (or any other URL rewriter) will not make a significant difference to modern search engines, which handle current Zen Cart pages just fine. Improperly managed rewriters can easily harm this.

They only make real sense if your customers or others will regularly be typing links manually, or reading the actual URL for meaning.
