What am I missing? Text color....?

I've read the FAQs and tutorials....scanned the forum.... I'm doing something wrong....

I'm trying to change the font color that shows up in my side and middle boxes.

I went to the includes/templates/CUSTOM/css stylesheet.css and looked for a font color that governs text.... I can't find anything that comes close to the font color I'm seeing so I can't substitute a different one....

Can someone tell me what to look for (code language in the line controlling those fonts) that is controlling my font color?

Thanks....I've spent a couple of hours trying to find it.....I'm sure it's simple but I'm coming up blank....
