messed up category images - will not turn off

I have been remaking my csv file for my catalog. I uploaded it and noticed that when I click on a category in the left nav bar it brings up more than just the sub category titles now.

I honestly do not know how I did this. I have my site in maintenance mode right now because it has been live for sometime and right now, its not working. I have attached a screen shot of what I am getting.

If you need live access, let me know and I guess I can make it live. I sell guns and my customers are a little more leary about shopping online than the average user so I don't want to give them the impression the site is not functional or in a fragile state.

I have already tried to turn on and off the subcategory images and it has no effect. I cleared my cache and browsing history too.

By the way, I have no images loaded and never have. I just loaded one and it takes the place of the red x box in the category I used it in.

I found this file has the code for the images because I can comment it out. category_row.php. Is it possible I damaged the file? I have never edited it before.

What is your setting for Configuration > Images > Image Required ?

OMG! I can't believe I missed that! It used to be False but sure enough it was set to True. I guess I changed it by mistake at some point. I changed it and they went away. Thank you!
