    Default Thai Language issue

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I am working on www.casino.betparagon.com, using version 1.3.9 h. I seem to be hitting brick walls trying to create a 2 language site. Everything seems to work fine for English, but the Thai version gives lots of problems.

    1. If you go to Withdraw at the top, it brings you to a page where you can select products (http://www.casino.betparagon.com/ind...=1&language=en). You can add a product here to the cart. However, if you change the language to Thai, and then try and add a product to the cart, you get a blank screen. If I use the English version and add something to the cart, and once the cart is displayed change the language to Thai, the cart displays in Thai. How can I fix this?

    2. On the FAQ page, http://www.casino.betparagon.com/ind...?main_page=faq, all looks well. The moment you change to Thai, the text goes over the right hand side. How can I fix this?

    3. In my header, my log in, currency selection and menu shows fine, the moment you select Thai all falls apart.

I have converted the site and my database to UTF-8, checked all files with Notepad++ to ensure it is encoded in UTF-8 without BOM.

Any help here will be greatly appreciated!

I've taken a look at your site, and have spotted the cause for at least on of your problems. I suspect the others will have a similar cause.

My observation: If you add a product to the cart, and view the shopping_cart page, it looks fine in English, but badly formatted in Thai. The reason for this bad formatting is due to the text
"You may want to add some instructions for using the shopping cart here. (defined in includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php)"

The text string doesn't wrap, which is making the table that follows wider than the English version, which is playing havoc with your .css

This is suggesting that you probably have a file
includes/languages/thai/shopping_cart.php that still contains the original English text. It also suggests that you've already edited the original includes/languages/english/shopping_cart.php to remove this text.

Hopefully this is of some help.

    Cheers
    Rod

    Hi Rod,

Thanks for the reply. I had to convert my entire site as well as all add ons to UTF-8 and re-upload the site fresh, changed the database, and edited the language files on my local pc and re-uploaded. Now the site seem to have stabilised. It has turned out to be a huge task and head ache trying to have a site in Thai!
