Is there any way to batch all products types to documents?

I'd like to change my products types to documents (to remove the add to cart option, I have another way to checkout....)

Is there any way to process all the documents?

Wouldn't it be easier to set the current product type Add to Cart option to 'N' in Admin - Catalog - Product Types ?

I pressed every time edit layout and not just the edit button, so I couldn't change it.

Sorry for the stupidity...


One more thing -

So - now I removed the "add to cart" option, as well as the greeting message with the log in message. I also removed the "Write a review" and "Tell a friend" buttons.


Is there any other option to access my shopping cart/sign in pages?
I want to completely remove any possibility to access them.

One last question though :

I'm trying to show on the main page the categories, and under them just the "New Products"

But, when I change in the layout setting to Always show categories on main page, the "New Products" are not showing up, and I'm getting a weird message :

Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution.

When I put back to normal just the new products, it doesn't appear.

I tried to search in the forums, and play around with the configurations but I can't find the answer.

The Congratulations message is discussed here:

The fact that it only shows up when you set the categories the way you want them is probably something Template Monster screwed up when they designed your template. Switch temporarily to the Classic template to see if things behave the way you want them to.
