    Default Temporarily disable checkout

So, I built this really nice store for my client - everything's working like a charm.

Now, I hear "... we're really not ready to take individual orders, and our shipping desk isn't set up yet."

    Great.

What is the cleanest way to disable checkout, temporarily, so that the store just showcases the products?

I don't want to pour through and remark out the "buy nows" if there is a status link somewhere that I can click that disables check out.

    Thanks!

In your admin, you can go to my store => Store Status , and set it to showcase with or without prices

    BOOMF!

That did it, that was easy. I gotta add that one to my notes.

It's a good idea to set up a "demo" store, hide it from serarch engines by requiring "customers" to login before they browse, and then spend a LOT of time learning things in the admin panel. There are a lot of settings in there... you should learn most of them.
