um... perhaps dumb question, but after you've downloaded a few themes, how do you identify which one you're looking at, when the folders are named zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011 7? Straight-up html i could just look at the index, but php....

zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011 would be the whole Zencart not a theme.
Most themes will come in a folder with their name on it
and to find the name of an installed theme you would check via you admin contol panel or by
going
yoursite.com/includes/templates/ "and the names of the templates will be here"

You aren't perchance downloading these from the add-ons section and pressing the big blue Download button on the right hand side that says download?
If so, you have probably download multiple copies of zencart
You need to click on the "download Now" text That is just under the template names heading
----------------------edit------------------------------
If you want to see what a downloaded template looks like then there is normally an image of it included with the template
normally at this location when you unzip the downloaded file
includes\templates\your_template\images\src_yourtemplate.jpg
--------------------edit--------------------------------
and try looking here
http://(sorry, site offline)/index.php
most of the free ones are shown there

haha this question isn't even valid if i wasn't an idiot. You are right, i was downloading the entire system each time. In my defense, the -->*DOWNLOAD<-- link shouldn't be the most obvious thing on the page. Also, i should read more carefully. If i do it right, the name of the theme is on both the archive, and the expanded folder. This serves two purposes. To tell me exactly what the theme is, and also to make me look even more incompetent. Thanks!
