Default Adding an enquiry form to website

    Hi all,
I am trying to add a new enquiry page to our website, I am new to zencart and coding so please go easy on me!!

I want to add a new form for potential customers to fill in with their details that will then get e-mailed to us at the office to respond to.

    Fields to include contact details
details about their requirements size etc..
Also for them to be able to upload a picture / multiple pictures.

I am not sure how to start this, I understand that I will have to modify some templates. An easy walk through on how to add a field and what else needs to be changed to get this e-mailed would be fantastic.
Thanks for your help in advance
    Kerry

While it is possible to create besopke forms in the zencart system, it is quite a complex procedure and you will need a GOOD understanding of php code.

We had the same issue, and solved it by using a completely separate program called MACHFORM, by a small company called APPNITRO. It has a small cost associated with it.

Machform is an incredibly easy way of creating complex forms. It's all done using clicks and drag-n-drop. You don't need any code knowledge at all. The software generates an "embed" code for you, which you just "paste" into the source code of a DEFINE PAGE, or (as we do) an EZPage.

Machform will send the input data as an email to the person who filled in the form, as well as any other email address (yours) you choose... AND its stores (archives) all the data too, which you can export as a MSExcel (and/or plain CSV) file.

    SEE IT IN ACTION

Search Google for Appnitro and Machform. There is a full DEMO on their site.

From knowing nothing about form design, you should be able to have the forms you want within half an hour of downloading their software...

PS: I have NO commercial interest in Appnitro, and I stand to make NO GAIN from my posting here.

Thanks for the info on this, looks fairy simple (which is what I need.) Have you used this with zencart and how easy is it to integrate and get the e-mail forms to work?

Will put this forward to the boss for purchasing.

    Thanks again

I've also used (and recommend) Machform. I placed the form in an EZ page, and it just worked as it should. The only caveat I would offer is that you'll need some decent CSS skills if you want to lay out the form fields differently from the default.

I did tell you in my original posting...

It is relatively EASY to integrate with ANY PROGRAM.

If you struggle with anything, just send me a Private Message on this forum.
