    Default Pricing turned off exept for certain customers

    So I am using Zencart more like a showcase then a store, but not completely like a showcase. Here's a little background just so you know where I'm coming from.
    1)My store will only be for my company's existing customers, so they can login and place orders online, but without pricing. So in a sense it's just an easy way for them to place the order for their reoccurring items much like if they called or faxed in an order. We will have to confirm back all the pricing afterwards which is fine.
    2) I know zencart's intent is not for this, but it would be nice if I could have pricing, but only for my outside sales force so they can login while out making calls and use the site like a mobile priced catalog.

    So can I turn on pricing for just the people I want to have it for my few sales people), and have it off for everyone else?

    Thanks
    J

    One thing I thought of. can I just make a new directory after and throw a copy of the site back up in that folder? turn the pricing on under that "site" and just have my sales people use "that" other site?

    That's the way I'd do it. This might help with the customer site:

    If only your customers should be able to see the prices, couldn't you use the settings in the Configuration ... Customer Details ...
    Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices
    Customer must be approved to shop
    0= Not required
    1= Must login to browse
    2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
    3= Showroom Only

    It is recommended that Option 2 be used for the purposes of Spiders if you wish customers to login to see prices.

    Do all your customers enjoy the same pricing? Or do some customers get offered different prices from other customers?

    All prices based per customer/ per item/ per salesman who quotes it, and my most of my catalog (about 1k in stock and 10k nonstock) changes constantly with the market.

    I'm more using the site how Stevesh's "re-order" style cart is designed for, so there isn't any pricing for customers.
