red flag Australia Post - weights

    Hi all,

I am having trouble with the weighing system in V1.3.9b. When estimating the postage costs at Aust Post real rates the weight says 1.591kg (which is correct for this order) but when I try different addresses in different Aust Post rates areas it seems to be weighing in at a total of 5-6kg rather than around 2kg inclusive of box and packaging.

For the life of my I cannot see why this is happening, I did change the box size in the shipping module to reflect the box we are sending.

Need to get this right as I have had to take the website offline until I can resolve it.

    Any help appreciated

    Martyn

    BTW, the info is:

I know nothing about your chosen addon shipping module.

But ... is this your problem? https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=85

I have got my tare weights at:

Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight 0:0.65 (presuming to be 0% & 294 grams)

    Larger packages - added packaging percentage:weight 0:1.3 (presuming to be 0% & 589 grams)

Therefore presuming should only add 294 grams & 589 grams respectivly.

Why? Australia Post isn't a built-in Shipping module.
