Help with creating new page

Hi all;

I need to ask for your help. I'm new to Zen and this is project I've made for myself.
I've added a new sidebox to the right side of the site and added a picture and a link to the new page. http://bride-azzled.com
Did that without to much trouble. (Was so proud of myself lol)
Oh, if anyone has any suggestions on how to tidy the new box a bit .... I tried to remove the header to bring the image up to try and shorten the box so it's not so long, but couldn't. And I wanted just a small box? to place just the text Current Gown Production Time, but wasn't sure how to do it so I put it in the Header for the new box.

NOW .... adding a new page for the link to go. I followed the instructions on this page that I Goggled http://lifefeed.net/zencart/static_page.php
But when I enter the information that should be on the page, I get this error message :
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
This is the text I'm trying to enter :

There are millions of beautiful designs in the Wedding Dress world. If there is any style you loved but it's not listed on our website, please feel free to send the style name and pictures to [email protected], and we will quote a price to you.<br><br>

Yes. Just send us pictures of the two gowns you would like to combine to [email protected] and we will contact you with a price quote.

I also want to add an image on the page and used this code, and uploaded the image into images file, and the picture won't show on the page.

Could someone help please? I'm kinda lost in the dark here.

Try going through the process using this link for adding a new page. Without seeing the coding of all the pages its hard to determine the source of the error but this is the best documentation I have found on adding new pages

Start by finding this in the proper file from the editable sidebox mod:

and remove all the <p> and </p> tags.


For your addidtional pages, you want to use the built-in EZ pages and link to them in your custom sidebox:

Perhaps creating EZ-Pages is much simpler... Invoke the EZpages sidebox and away you go...

Thanks stevesh, that worked perfect on shortening the box.
I played around with EZpages and finally figured that out.
Question .... can I make the EZpage box look like the one I've
created? If so, how? I rather like the box I made

You could add links to the EZ pages you created in your custom sidebox. Navigate to the EZ page and copy the URL from the browser address bar and insert into the <a href in your sidebox code.

Or, you could also set that image as a background-image in #ezpagesContent in the stylesheet.

Thanks for getting back.
I finally fingered it out Yay Me !!!
I made the EZpage again and added the link to my custom box. But I couldn't figure out how to have just the page without the Important Links sidebox. Without the box, the page text wouldn't show up when I clicked the link from the custom box. Then it hit ..... see if the sidebox is listed in Layout Box Controller and shut the box off.
It Worked !!!!
Now I can click the link from my custom box and it goes to the EZpage. ( sign of relief ) That design problem solved.
