Add to cart Missing

Hello all,
I just uploaded v150, new installation . . added one of those templates and thing went as planned for the install . .
I am now noticing that there is no "Add to cart" button, or items in cart box, there is also no "Check out" feature . . .
All I get is a "Contact Us" text rollover in the individual products pages . . .
anyone have any ideas on this . . I am sure it is something simple but I went over the config menus and came up with zero . . .
