    Default extending the width of darkness template

    I downloaded the latest darkness template and uploaded it. I want to extend the width of the store display into the black area some. How do I go bout this. Is there a way to make it change based on the user's screen size. And if so how do I make my logo adaptive to thier screen size?

    A link to the site would help, since most of us don't use that template, but you might try changing the width of #mainWrapper in the stylesheet.

    You can set it to a percent rather than number of pixels, and it should expand and contract with the viewers resolution. I use a fixed width of 980px on all sites.

    There are some tricks that will allow an image to adjust that way (see 'screen door'), but again, I like a fixed width main wrapper so I just make the header image that wide.

    Site width is controlled in the stylesheet. But it is not generally a good idea to make the site stretch 100% of screen width. Widescreen monotors are being increasingly used, and a site stretched across the entire display area can require visitors to exercise additional mouse movements and it can make the site look worse.

    please tell me where to find the wrapper and along with extending the width of the store I would likely need to extend the width of the logo/banner as well.

    Do you know what a stylesheet is?

    (Just a question... not a criticism...) If you don't know, then you first need to learn what stylesheet do.

    Nope i have no idea what a stylesheet is nor do I know that it is written in css. I think it is something that you use to grade ice skaters on thier performance.

    I was asking where in the stylesheet and which copy of the stylesheet.

    We have to ask these basic questions... you see, if you didn't know what a stylesheet was, we would point you to some tutorials so you could learn.

    includes/templates/darkness/css/stylesheet.css

    /*wrappers - page or section containers*/
    #mainWrapper {
    background-color: #383E44;
    text-align: left;
    width: 750px;
    vertical-align: top;
    border: 1px solid #9a9a9a;
    }
