Redemption Code / Free Gift

I exhibit at industrial shows. Let's say I am selling tools at the Tools2012 show. I would like to hand out flyers at the show that say something like "Enter Tools2012 in the Redemption Code box during checkout to receive a free screwdriver." I would like to use a different code for each show so that I can track show effectiveness. Is this possible through Admin?

There's no provision for automatically adding a specific product to the customer's cart dependent on a discount coupon, if that's what you're asking. If you just want to track show traffic, you can create a discount coupon for each show and manually toss a screwdriver into the orders of those who redeem it.

Thank you for the idea. Since I don't need anything to show in the cart, I guess I could have the customer just type "Tools2012 Free Screwdriver" into the comments box during checkout. All I need is a note as to where they saw us, and I can then add the gift to their package.

Is there a way, where we can make the comment box at the time of checkout mandatory?
