How to set up downloadable products?

By default, Zen Cart is setup with this as true:

Download by Redirect
Use browser redirection for download. Disable on non-Unix systems.

Note: Set /pub to 777 when redirect is true

and this as false:

Download by streaming
If download-by-redirect is disabled, and your PHP memory_limit setting is under 8 MB, you might need to enable this setting so that files are streamed in smaller segments to the browser.

Has no effect if Download By Redirect is enabled.

Have you tested an order with a download to see if there are any issues?

No, not yet. Still trying to find this:

I remember seeing those listed somewhere in the Admin pages, but I can't remember where...and I'm not sure if I should change it from the defaults or not.

Also I know I saw something in the forum about the virtual settings on the products listings. Since I'm offering downloads and physical products on the same page, is there some special way I should set these up?

Once I get those set up properly (I hope!) I'll go ahead and do some tests.

The Order Status is set by the Payment Modules in the Modules ... Payments ...

The Products will know when they are Downloads or not based on the filename on the Attribute itself ...

Downloadable Products as Virtual ... the settings should be:

Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required

Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules

Currently my Paypal settings are:

Set Pending Notification Status
Pending [1]

Set Order Status
Processing [2]

Set Refund Order Status
Pending [1]

Is that okay, or should I change that to something else?
