Template not showing after installation

I installed Zen Cart today and tried to install two templates. I followed instructions step-by-step for template installation and everything went fine and I can see them in the directory exactly the same way as the default template. Except that the templates are not showing when the URL of the site is entered in the browser.

With one, all it can be seen is a white blank page and with the other, only the green background of the template is seen.

Don't know exactly what happened. I removed it and installed again following instructions carefully step-by-step and worked the second time.
