Attribute has a long id number. Can I change it?

Okay so when customers checkout with items with attributes, zencart has been creating this long product number in the format of 20:13djdj55858ed4995328dn. The 20 I know is the product id but the long line after the ":" must be relating to the attribute id. Why so long. How do I change this in the database or files to modify as this does not seem professional when customers are seeing this.

A default zen-cart doesn't show the customer this long number anywhere that I am aware of!
It would normally show the products name and model number
Followed by a list of the attributes by name.

You must have installed something that shows this long id
Look at that add on to determine why its showing.

btw: the long number is a hash of the model number and the attributes.
its there to detemine in the cart if there are the same model number item with the same attributes, or the same model number with different attributes.

That number is NOT a product number (model number) it is an internal product ID
There is normally NO reason for a customer to see this ID.

Actually, if the customer places a product with attributes in his cart, then clicks on the product name in the shopping cart, he will return to the product info page and the string the OP asked about will be visible in the URL. I don't know why.

Thats so when you go to that item, it will have the attributes already pre selected.

Still I am not sure that is what the OP was refering to?
