Change Browser Title Text : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commece

I've been searching for three days now on how to change the title in my browser. It currently says "Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commece", i've followed all the tutorials that i have found saying go to includes/languages/english/ - meta_tag.php does not exist so i cannot go any further.

If i go to Includes/Languages/English.php i see this:

So i changed it to my wording thinking that it was going to fix the issue, but it does not.

I've looked in default template and classic. I had purchased a template and had the company install it for me so its called template602

So if i go to includes/languages/English/theme602/

header.php

header.php has this:

I need some help. Its driving me CRAZY!!!!

I've already tried to use this tutorial that i had found:

and it doesnt work for me... Im new to Zencart and do not know much about PHP... Please help me someone!

If your browser title bar actually says "Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce", then your /includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php file DOES indeed exist, because that's exactly where that text comes from.

Following the tutorial article you quoted, you simply need to do this:

- find /includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php
- and copy that file to /includes/languages/english/theme602/meta_tags.php
- and make the required edits to that new file.

thats the issue, is i can find the Includes/languages/english but i do not see meta_tags.php at all.

If i could find the meta_tags.php id be good. I understand the 2nd part which i can do if i knew where the meta-tags.php was.

I am having the same problem. I used FTP FileZilla to look for 'meta_tags.php' and was not able to find it and have looked in all of the 'zcadmin' files/dirs for the file. I know it has to be there!! I looked into the 'theme' dir for it as well, no luck. Any ideas where it might be hiding?
I had a copy of the v139h .zip on my computer, so I unziped it and found 'meta_tags.php' where it belonged. I made the changes and FTP'd the file to /includes/languages/english/ to see if any changes would arise on my site, still no luck.
Any ideas or suggestions as to what to do next? Thanks, Mike

Never mind I was able to find the controling meta_tags.php file. However, it was in '/public_html/includes/languages/english/' outside of zen cart (actually in with wp). Is this a potential problem? Should I ftp the file to it's proper zc '/english/' folder?

Um, well, given that /includes/languages/english/ is in fact the correct folder for that file to be in, you probably don't want to be changing its location.
