suddenly Slow loading website

My website has suddenly begun to load very slowly. I have added a few social plugins, but it didn't initially slowed anything down. Nor have I added any large images. However, I have noticed that sometime the "addthisedge.com" is coming up when loading a new page. Is that a good or bad sign ?
I don't experience the same problem in "Admin". Here pages load fast as they should.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anytime anything 'suddenly' changes, my automatic assumption is that hosting is the problem.

I would enable the parse time display and then compare the results to this:

As you can see, my Parse Time is three to four times longer than my Query Time. Is this difference big enough to contact my provider and ask for an explanation, do you think ?

Yes, ask your host but also to narrow it down, remove any 3rd party server connection from your site & see if that makes any difference.

Would just help to see how the site is when it just loads from your own server; if still slow; then it's time to ask the host some questions. They will have access to stats which you can't see like load times; MySQL load etc and comparisons with other sites on the same server.

terraGirl: Many thanks for pointing this out. I've now removed the "addthis.com" javascript. Should have done that long ago.
However, I have had the "shield.sitelock.com" on since day one so it can't be that.

And today my Parse Time is more than 10 times longer than my Query Time so I think it's time to call my host provider.

Oops, I'm back but rather embarrassed. After having contacted my provider several times, they found some junk coding in my index file that prevented my website to load as fast as normal. With a clean index file my website is now up and running.
