Text attribute not working

I am using 1.5 and trying to create a text attribute. I can use this attribute in 1.39 with no problem. But in 1.5 I can create the attribute but in the attribute controller The option value com,es up blank. See below:

Where am I going wrong?

First, it looks like you have some language files missing. You might try re-uploading all of your ZenCart files to make sure nothing is missing.

Second, TEXT attributes are Option Name only, so you do not need to specify an Option Value. Here's an FAQ with more information: http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?99
