The drop down doesn't work at all in my IE9 and Firefox.
Since you also have a side flyout, is there perhaps a conflict in the classes/categories_ul_generator? It's been awhile since I've use either of these flyouts/dropdowns, but they might have separate files. Could also be some setting issues, possibly in it's css, as I had a similar problem when testing awhile back where the drop down disappeared when trying to get to it.
Also, why the side-flyout if you're planning on a drop down? Usually, in this case, the side categories are used normally, more like a breadcrumb.
You might consider the new Mega Menu as on the Abbington, Cambridge and Supremo free templates. If you're going to use the side flyout you might just hand-build some of your important categories in to it, and include other good stuff.
Also, there is a support thread for this drop down in the All Other Contributions forum, may get good help there.

I am making a Toy web site, my boss want me doing like yoyo
the category is in the top , and different sorting on the left. that is what I want to do. or is any similiar template that I can use or modify.
Yoyo is a nice looking site, but I didn't see it having a top drop down and a side fly out. Just normal side categories.
BTW, zencart has a similar dynamic filter/layered navigation mod for the side which you can see on my demo here (click on a page to get past homepage to see filter):

Templates: more free templates are coming out with drop downs, see these:

BTW, I've read how "the boss" can really mess things up....often not really knowing what they are doing. ;)
But they are the boss.
