Products not showing

Hi,

I followed all the instructions very thoroughly to upgrade from version 1.3.9 to 1.5. I did a new install, upgraded the database, imported the backed up database and though the admin area and the store are there, none of my products are showing in either. They are in the database. I've searched the forum, checking different things such as my config files, etc as suggested. All looks fine - any other suggestions?

You probably have a different DB_PREFIX in your new configure.php vs your old one, and thus your site is looking at the wrong set of tables in your database, hence seeing no products.

I checked that - prefix is the same is the same for both.

Probably you didn't keep your old character-set properly then.
