Total Products Ordered

Good Morning forums,

I've got a quick question, This may sound a bit weird. but I have a client who is asking me to setup a store for him. He will basically be a distributor or a wholesaler. He orders from the manufacturer and his customers will order from him.

The functionality he needs is to be able to have the total number of products of one type ordered for a period. So say a day. Broken down so that they can be ordered from the manufacturer. Then of course he'll need the regular printable orders (which is currently in Zen Cart as of Now)

To make a little more sense, if the store gets 3 different orders of product A and B ,
Customer 1 ordered 1 Case A 3 Cases of B
Customer 2 ordered 1 Case A 1 Case of B
Customer 3 order 5 Case A 0 Case of B

He wants that totaled up and it should report the total products ordered..... A = 7 B = 4 ... This will tell him what to order from the manufacturer's and then of course he'll use his regular packing slips for everything else.

I'm sure the functionality somehow exists, but I haven't found it yet. Even so it may need to be tweaked a bit someone to make it more usful for this kind of reporting.

Yea ,l I knew I was going to forget this....

The functionality does exist from the admin, under reports products ordered but as of my test store version 1.3.9h it doesn't provide a way to only show products ordered that have not be processed
