Default Installing Authorize.net - "install" button missing

I'm having difficulty installing the ID and key for the initial setup of Authorize.net.

After logging in, I go to the Modules - Payments page and see Authorize.net (SIM) listed, but there are no actions available to edit or install. Under the actions column, there is only a blue "I" icon.

Can you tell me if there is some other page that I need to access to put the info in or am I using a login that has limited access, or if there is some other issue.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    1. You didn't answer anything about your ZC version or the addons you've installed. Please click Reply below and answer all the questions in the Posting Tips section.

    2. Your symptoms indicate that you've got broken payment module files, which are causing PHP errors, which is thus causing a halt in the PHP code, resulting in the rest of the page being blank instead of showing the normal output. http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?124-blank-page

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using version 1.3.9h. I can upgrade to the new version, but wanted to get the authorize.net issue resolved first, on the small chance that upgrading would cause some other errors.

It does appear to be a problem with the payment module, not loading correctly, in that I notice the "Powered by Zencart" logo and the Copyright notice do not appear on the bottom of the page. However, I checked with my hosting company and they said everything installed properly and they didn't see any errors.

I don't where to access error files within Zen Cart.

Would upgrading to the new version potentially correct this? What would happen to customization and edits that have already been done, would they carry through, or could they be effected?

    Thanks again,

    Dave

See section 2(a) in the article I pointed you to. It's spelled out there in colorful bold text.

While I again appreciate the reply, I could do without the consending comment.

I don't know where to access the cache folder or the file that is in "colorful bold text."

Sorry, I made the assumption that you knew that all your files related to Zen Cart are sitting on your webserver, and that you access those files using your FTP application in a manner similar to how you access the files in order to make changes to templates and language files and images etc.
Since those are essential skills in managing any website, you'll want to brush up on those. Your hosting company can show you how best to use FTP to access the files on the servers they run for you, including pointing you to instructions on usernames, passwords and server address, port info, etc. Most hosts even have FAQ articles explaining how to install and use an FTP application, if you need that level of detail too.

You'll also need the FTP application to fix whatever files are broken and causing the symptoms you initially posted about.
