Add (bulk) multiple products to Featured products list

Forgive me if this has been asked elsewhere, but I did a thorough search and found nothing here, nor in FAQ, nor in the plugins.

Is there a way to add multiple items to the "featured" products list at once, rather than adding them one by one?
I see you can add by product id#, but that would still take quite some time.
Or maybe there is a way to feature a selection of a category on the main/home page?

I purchased MagneticOne Zen Cart Store manager to manipulate large product sets.

No way I would do that one by one.

Barring that, I believe it can be done via phpMyAdmin or other MySQL editor (I prefer HeidiSQL) IF you are comfortable with MySQL queries/updates.

I currently use the Apsona ShopAdmin to "manage" my store. It's FREE and has many of the same features of the product you mentioned. And did I mention, it's FREE? LOL

Once again, thank you for your reply. Others may find that program to be useful for their store.

I have Apsona installed too. Once you get past a certain # of products, it seems to fail. Don't know what the number is, just know that it doesn't open anymore.

Not to mention Excel mangles UPC codes, etc.

I use Libre Office and have no issues with spreadsheets getting mangled like they do in Excell. Libre Office is a spin-off of Open Office, the open source office app.
(Libre Office is also a free product)

I have over 8,000 products that I update several times a week with stock updates and I don't have issues with Apsona performing well. You probably have many more products than I do.
I'm a one gal show, I do all my own work, and am saving $$ any way I can. Hence, Free Zen Cart, Free Apsona & Free Libre Office
