    Default Quantity Unit errors

I am trying to set up products that can be purchased as either a single item or a box of 10, no inbetweens. I set up my minimum as 1, with units of 10, no maximum. I get a quantity error when trying to purchase 1 (I assume due to the units being 10). I am wondering if it is possible to set up my product(s) in this way and if so how without having to create two separate product entries for one product, but instead allow the customer to be able to choose the quantity from one product entry, while maintaining quantity restrictions I described above. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, here's the follow up question....first, yes, you could buy two cases of 10 and I want to allow them to purchase individual items, however, I also want them to be able to purchase the individual items and send them to different shipping addresses (as gifts say) with a customized message. So in either case, they could order them all to their own shipping address with no message, or send each individual item to a different address each with its own customized message. This is not so much of a problem with different items, but with the same item. So, I am a bit stuck and not sure how to proceed. Is it possible to set up the cart in such a way that someone buys 2 of the same product, send them to different shipping addresses, each with its own customized message? If it is also possible, I would like to control this from one listing of the product rather than have two separate iterations of the product with different unit amounts. If so, any advice would be appreciated as I am a little lost. Thanks in advance.

I don't think so, no. There's no provision in a stock Zencart installation for multiple shipping addresses in a single order. I don't know if ceon's advanced shipping mod will do that or not. You can search the web for ceon advanced shipping.

It's possible we might be able to suggest a work-around if we had more information about exactly what you need to do, and why.

I do not have the site up yet in a place where you can view it as I am still working on some layout issues, but here is the gist of what I am looking to do. I wish to sell greeting cards and allow people to add a custom message and then send the card to whomever they wish. They should be able to either purchase by the box and send to themselves (one shipping address, no message) or purchase one or more cards to add their custom message(s) to and send to various addresses.
