red flag Linux install template- import old datase

I have installed the new version of zen cart and have imported the old database. Now I am getting error:
    Front End:
Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Admin->Tools->Server Information to review patch levels.

    Back end:
database upgrade required. please run the 1.3.9-to-1.5.0 upgrade via zc_install

I cannot get in to the back-end to change anything.
I am using Go Daddy - Linux - with a 1.5 send cart template

    Thank you for your help!

If you have installed your site where has the zc_install folder gone?

you will need to reupload it if you have deleted it so it can run the database upgrade script

Godaddy installs on the back end. I did download the latest version of zen cart. I don't know what to do? Where is the database upgrade script?

You need to upload the zc_install folder and run www.your_site.com/zc_install

More importantly , you need to do a proper upgrade by reading and following the official upgrade instructions: www.zen-cart.com/upgrade (specifically the "detailed" link with instructions on preserving your customizations, not just the high-level overview you see there).

The old database products are not in there? Should I try to import it again? I am afraid it is going to do the same thing?

The most common problem people encounter when importing data from another database is that their new install is using a different DB_PREFIX than their old install did.
Find the DB_PREFIX in your old site's configure.php files and make sure you put the same defined value in your new site's configure.php files (or enter that value when prompted when doing the initial installation, if you're using zc_install to do a proper fresh install).
