Offering percent discount rather than fixed amount

I've tried to do the reading and searching but can't find the option or a supported addon.

As a relatively new site, we'd like to do a marketing email to our existing customers offering them 10% off on their next purchase for a fixed time period as a way to stimulate sales. We would prefer a percentage discount versus a fixed price coupon since we have a number of low price items and don't actually want to lose money on this promotion. I would think this is a common and easy way to stimulate sales.

Can this be done in 139H?
Is it supported in 1.5 (forcing me to slog through the upgrade)?

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

You could use the coupon code option built into zen, just go to gift certificate/coupon on admin and create a discount coupon. this is what I use for various clubs I give a discount to just give it a redemption code set the percentage you can also exclude products you don't want included in the scheme, then email the code to your customers.

Thanks for the reply. Let me go look at the discount code options more closely. I assumed (yeah I know) that the amounts were only fixed amounts.. If it works, it would be a simple approach.

Percent option in discount coupon works fine. Already tested on the site with several customers. Thanks for the quick and correct advice.
