    help question Admin login error

Hello; I have had Zencart installed for years and now I get an error when I try to access the admin page. This was happening before I upgraded to 1.3.9h, ( thought the upgrade might fix it ) Here is the error I get when I login:

Warning: require(includes/application_header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/thercout/public_html/admin/login.php on line 29

Warning: require(includes/application_header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/thercout/public_html/admin/login.php on line 29

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/application_header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/thercout/public_html/admin/login.php on line 29

This is the response I received from my hosting company:

The login.php is calling application_header.php for its proper execution. But I couldn't find the file application_header.php in the includes directory of your account and this is causing the warning message. The file seems to be added to the cart script in the upgraded version. I couldn't find it in the backups too. Please check with zencart support to fix this issue. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Dave

What procedure did you follow to perform the upgrade?

Bottom line is that some files either weren't uploaded, or have been uploaded into the wrong folders.

There is no "application_header.php" file in any version of Zen Cart.
So your site must be using some addons or custom code that's looking for a file that was added for some additional purpose. You'll need to either pare back to original Zen Cart code, or identify the missing pieces from whichever addon they came from and fix the missing components so that it works again.

    Nice catch...
What would I do without you to keep me honest? :)

Needless to say, I was thinking of 'application_top.php'

    Hello again;

Thanks for the info!! It looks like I am going to have to delete the entire install and start from the begining, this was a site I bought about 5 years ago so I have no access to the original files.

    Cheers

    Dave
