Default Can't access my site from an external address

i'm hosting everything on a dedicated server running from my house. when i test everything out locally it works, when i publish it and direct my browser to the site from an external computer it works. but when i click log in it redirects to an internal ip address, which give me the page not found error. where do i need to go to fix that so that when i click it routes to either my domain name or my static external ip?

Check that your configure.php files reflect the domain versus IP is one suggestion.

The configure.php file is set to read-only during normal operation.
If you need to make changes to its contents, you will need to make the file writable first. If you need help with how to do that on your webserver, contact your hosting company for specific instructions.
