    Default Enter Text "Attribute" Possible?

    Hi
Id like to have, on each of my product description pages where they add to card and select options - an option, well actually a required option for them to enter some text.

The reason its a flower site. I want to ask them

    1) Greeting Card Message
    2) Delivery Date

Since some people order 2 or 3 different things in each order i need to collect this on a per product basis not in the extra information/message feild in checkout for the order as a whole

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Oh i think ive answered my question there is a text attribute i dont know how i missed it. When adding it to the product in attributes controller i select the option in the red box Attribute Required
    for Text: amd select YES

But its still possible to add to cart without any text being typed into that box

If you wanted a Product with two TEXT attributes that are NOT, you could configure them slightly different from one another ...

    The first Option Name:
    Greeting Card Message

Then save it ... and click EDIT ...
    Rows: 5
    Display Size: 40
    Maximum length: 275

There are other customizations in there for Option Name that are handy to see ...

    The first Option Name:
    Delivery Date

    Then save it ...

As this date does not need to be more that a brief space to write in that is it ... go to your Catalog and look at the Product, once it is made ...

To make this Product, find it in the Attributes Controller ...

In the Option Name dropdown click Greeting Card Message and in the right column for Option Value click TEXT/UPLOAD FILE [#0] ... click INSERT ...

Now, in the Option Name dropdown click Delivery Date and and in the right column for Option Value click TEXT/UPLOAD FILE [#0] ... click INSERT ...

You are done making a Product with two TEXT Attributes that are not required ...

If either field is required you can edit that Attribute and set:
    Attribute Required for Text: YES

There is a lot of information on the Forum and FAQs about Attributes that should be able to help you ...

Here are the settings I made. Its set to yes: Attribute required for texts. But on the product www.go go flori st [dot] [com]/love-romance/9-roses-lucky

Its possible to add to cart leaving the text area blank which is not good for me at all

Site is using image manager, numinix fast and easy checkout (not ajax), and ceon url manager
