Default I messed up yet again

I just messed up my Advanced_Search.php. I wanted to make a few simple changes in some words like change Manufacturers to Designers. I did that and FTP'd the changes and then the appearance of the file Advanced_Search.php looked all squished together. To make matters worse, I totally lost my Advanced Search on my (not live) site.

I can't figure out how to copy a file such as Advanced_Search.php to add it to an overrides folder. I figured this is an easy change, and look what happened. I have since put back the text to the original wording, but nothing has gone back to the original appearance. I wish this thing came with a restore point.

    Any ideas?

I can't figure out how to COPY the file. I'm sure it's easy, but I can't see it. Aside from that, what could be the fix for what happened?

Download the version of ZenCart that you have and expand on your computer
Locate the fresh file and FTP it to the same location

Copying a file on your computer is as easy as going to the folder it is in, right-clicking on the file name, and hitting copy.
Then just hit paste in the same folder and you'll get a copy of the file named originalfile-Copy. Once you move it to a different folder you can then rename it to whatever you need.

I'd like to try changing advanced_search.php again, and this time I'll have a back up copy. In Advanced Search, it reads:
define('ENTRY_CATEGORIES', 'Limit to Category:'); I want to change that to Limit to Designers.
Then in the drop down box it says:
define('TEXT_ALL_MANUFACTURERS', 'All Manufacturers'); and I want it to read All Designers.

I made those two changes and advanced search would no longer open until I learned how to reinstall. I was very careful to keep the changes between the quote marks. Why did this happen? Do I need to try again to see if it happens again since I have the back up?

I got impatient and went ahead and did it :) It worked this time. I obviously made a mistake last time. It's beautiful when it works like its supposed to!
