    Default Ship to different addresses than billing - Auth.net and paypal

    totally, love zc. been running since june. very nice.

    i'm getting about 30% reject orders... as my shipping is set to only ship when billing and shipping match.

    i need this changed, i don't want to kill my store, and i just need to know what to change...

    any help is greatly appreciated... i got some folks waiting to place orders. thanks for your time and have a great day!

    This issue likely due to payments services rejecting the orders due to mismatch between billing and shipping.
    Check your Paypal settings in your Payal account at Paypal.com. You have the option to change so Paypal will accept these none matches.
    I don't use Authnet but would suggest you contact their support line for guidance.
    I use FirstData/Linkpoint and don't have this issue, although they email me everytime there is a mismatch so I can decide before shipping.

    I'm not aware of any setting in Zencart to require matching billing and shipping addresses.

    It seems as folks can't do a gift shipment... the auto new customer email says...

    What's your point? The email is correct, Zencart by default allows shipping to a third party. The problem appears to be that your payment services (Authnet, Paypal) are requiring that the the order to be shipped to the billing address. You need to fix that with the payment service providers (eg: Authnet and Paypal).

    If the payment service does not authorize the payment then Zencart will not complete the order as the payment services feed back the authorization to Zencart.

    I did a little research on Paypal and came up with this procedure. It might help in the case of Paypal.

    login to Paypal.
    Go to my account.
    Select Profile
    Select My Selling Tools
    under "Getting paid and managing my risk" select "update"
    beside "Block Payments"
    The first item listed should read: "Block Payments for the items not sold on eBay from U.S. users who do not provide a confirmed address". Check "No" for this item.
    I'm sorry, I thought there was a specific setting regarding matched billing and shipping addresses.....and there may have been years ago when I set up my account. Paypal has made some policy changes regarding "Confirmed shipping addresses" and their "Sellers and Buyers Protection" plans which may have caused them to change the verbage over the years.

    I would make the change above and see if that clears the problem. Mine was already checked with "No" when I checked today. If yours is also already checked "no" then I think you need to contact their support people for guidance.
