Default Shipping Module not accessing" Shipping"

I recently tried updating Zencart to 1.51, database also.
Wiped out my site and all connections.
It took Hostgator 3 days to reinstall 1.39h and connect to database.
All works fine again but my "Shipping Estimator" button in Shopping Cart gives a pop up that says:

1054 Unknown column 'custom_product_field_key' in 'field list'
    in:
    [ SELECT config_id, default_method, custom_product_field_key, address_not_covered FROM zen_advshipper_configs WHERE config_name = 'default';]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I find the same message in Admin area when I click on "Modules" and choose "Shipping"

How do I fix the issue?

Sounds like your DB has been upgraded but you are trying to access with 1.3.9h files

    Thanks for the quick reply!
    How do I fix this?
Everything but the Shipping is working perfectly, so I just need to edit that part.
Everytime I have Hostgator try to fix something, I lose the whole site...db and all.

Everytime I have Hostgator try to fix something
Quit having them do this and learn how to do it yourself

    Upgrade
    Follow the tutorial on upgrading
Use phpmyadmin and backup the db
    Create another DB with user
Install in a folder 1.5x and run install
Use phpmyadmin and import your DB backup into the new db
Re-run ac_install and select "upgrade db only"

You now have a set of files & upgraded db
All you now need are the images & template files

    I'll go thru the tutorial.
    Won't this still give me a 1.51 DB for a 1.39h Zencart?
Also how to transfer the images and template files?

That's how my site problems began.
I upgraded to 1.51 and followed the tutorials to upgrade the db also.
Several functions stopped working in the admin cart.
Hostgator attempted to find the problem and deleted my public_html folder.
We've repaired 99% of the damage but still can't create ftp accounts that work, and have lost shipping.
I need to go back to 1.39h, which worked fine. Just thought upgrading was the wise thing to do.
It's been a week now and still offline due to no shipping module.

Thank you for all this help Kobra.

This is not due to ZenCart
Several functions stopped working in the admin cart
    What functions?
I need to go back to 1.39h
I know of no way, Unless you took a backup of the DB prior to upgrading
    and followed the tutorials
The tutorials recommend that you perform this to a site in a folder and not to a live shop

Hostgator had reset me to 1.38 for my db.
I just upgraded to 1.39h, to match my Zencart version.
    No change.
    Still no shipping module access.
You're right; the other issues are now Zencart related.
