Fluid and tableless doesn't make a template necessarily responsive.. I have a tableless template for Zen Cart I've been working on.. however that doesn't make the design responsive.. there's a fair bit more that has to be done to truly make one's template design responsive.. I've been beta testing a responsive template that allowed me to easily convert a non-responsive template into a fully responsive design.. I am excited to see all the work folks are doing to start bringing responsive design to Zen Cart templates..

Correct. The fluid design I have been spouting has been around since 2004 - almost a decade. Responsive is a much more recent phenomena, possibly not much older than four years, that is essentially fluid design but with added or updated technology (eg HTML5, css3, javascript, ajax). I welcome and embrace any new methods that free up fluidity or flexibility and allow for universal designs. Happy to wait for the introduction of flexible devices that wrap to a full cylinder!!!
