Symbols such as £ sign not displaying correctly in product descriptions

Hi, this is a small annoying problem I can't seem to fix. The symbols such as £ are not displaying correctly in product description. Is this some kind of encoding language problem? How can I fix this, I haven't upgraded or installed anything new, it has been like this since I installed it

Yep. You are serving up the pages as iso8859, but the stuff coming out of the database is encoded as utf-8 (you'll see the £ correctly of you change the view encoding in the browser).
