    Default I need help

I recently had to move to another server and had then take care of everything. Well. needless to say, everything is screwed up. The only thing they managed to do correctly was transfer my database over. After months I've been able to get the site up and running somewhat (www.jeffpiercemagic.com) but when a digital download order is made, the payment goes through but they get a 400 Bad Request error that "Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand." They say the .htaccess file is incorrect. Any ideas? I'm about ready to fire them all.

Let's assume that what they say is correct, for us to be able to offer any assistance we'll be needing to see a copy of your .htaccess file so that we can see what is supposedly wrong with it, and then we may be able to tell you what you need to do to fix it.

TIP: ZenCart doesn't *need* a .htaccess file (in the root folder), so try removing/renaming it to see if the problem goes away.

    Cheers

There is a htaccess file in the download folder - and it MUST be there.

It is possible that your download file extension has not been specified in the list of allowed files.

    Code:
    <FilesMatch ".*\.(zip|ZIP|gzip|pdf|PDF|mp3|MP3|swf|SWF|wma|WMA|wmv|WMV|wav|epub)$">

Best format for downloads is always ZIP... firstly, it compresses a file, and secondly, it will default to "SAVE AS|" on the visitor's browser.

Kobra, sorry for the lack of info. I've had this zen cart store since 2004, the last version was 1.38a.
It was a standard store front with a free template attached.
    Paypal api
    Sql 5.0.91
    PHP 5.3.13

In November my server service said they would shut down in december so I needed to find a new service. I choose ipage.com and asked them to transfer my database over and upgrade to 1.51 in the process. They simply reinstalled 1.38a but I don't think they installed it correctly, just copying it over directly.

My main problem is with digital downloads. When a customer buys a download it takes them to the page to download the zipped file but when they click on it link to download it comes up with a error:

    400 Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

The link that shows as the url is:
    http://www.jeffpiercemagic.com/pub/....vhb/Vernon.zip

I know little about the workings of Zen cart but it looks like it places the file in the pub folder in that odd folder for download. the .htaccess file says:
#prevent directory browsing -- for security
    IndexIgnore */*

    Options +FollowSymLinks -Indexes

I assume this is the problem but don't know why it says that or how to fix it.

I hope this is enough info you need to help me with this problem as I'm about to lose my mind.

ipage... oh dear... perhaps your worst decision. These guys are worse than useless. I hope you did not pay them a penny for the "upgrade".

You would be better off hosting your site on your refrigerator.

I think your issue might be with existing products???

Try and create a test product and add a download etc. See if that works
