How to remove large image from Home Screen?

I am using the free template Emeralda and if you visit www.livingtowers.com/coopstore you will see there are is a large image that says save up to 50% and another that says free shipping. Does anyone know how I can get rid of these?

I'd also like to rename the heading of the box underneath. Is it possible to change it to say "New this week" and include items that were enabled this week? As most items are added but disabled or re-enabled from one week to the next very few items are actually added.

FYI - This is relatively new to me so please explain in basic terms with step by step instructions. (ie file location etc).

It probably sits in define_main_page.php.

In your admin go to tools => define page editor

select define_main_page.php from the dropdown, and edit as needed
