Tax and Shipping adjusts in Paypal

Very strange. The tax and shipping that shows up in Zencart is adjusted when you are sent to the paypal screen. The bottom line ends up the same - see screenshot please. Name: bebetaxshipping.jpg

That's because PayPal doesn't support adding a line-item for the tax on the shipping portion. So the shipping taxes get combined into the shipping fee before submitting to PayPal.
If you wish that to change, please tell PayPal to rewrite their system.

So should we not use the tax options in Zencart but rather set the taxes up in PayPal?

If you set up taxes in PayPal, you will have PayPal adding EVEN MORE tax to your orders.

There's nothing wrong with what Zen Cart is doing. You said yourself that the amounts charged are correct. And I've explained why they display slightly differently.
