Multiple Shipping Rates - by Product and Location

We're trying to figure out how to set up shipping rates for our products which is a little complicated:

- We only ship in the U.S. which is divided into 3 geographic zones. Shipping rates are different for each of these zones.
- Each product has a unique shipping rate for each of the shipping zones.

So if we have 30 products and 3 shipping zones, there will be 90 (30 x 3) distinct shipping rates.

EXAMPLE
The shipping zones are Zone 1 (East Coast States), Zone 2 (Midwest States), Zone 3 (West Coast States).
Let's look at 2 products - Product A and Product B. for these 2 products we have the following shipping rates:

Products A, Zone 1 = $145
Products A, Zone 2 = $254
Products A, Zone 3 = $389

Products B, Zone 1 = $142
Products B, Zone 2 = $153
Products B, Zone 3 = $220

The difference in price between zones is not a fixed percentage and doesn't seem to follow any distinguishable pattern.

Is there an Add-On / Plug-In that would provide the functionality that we need? If not, any suggestions on how we can accomplish this? We're using v151 but we're open to switching to an earlier version if we need to.

What if a customer buys one Products A and one Products B - what will the shipping be??

It will be the sum of the 2 shipping costs. So if a customer in Zone 1 buys one Product A and one Product B - the shipping will be $145 + $142 = $287.

I suspect that your "A" & "B" items are in separate categories

Actually, "A" & "B" items may be in separate categories. Right now we have 6 categories and 30 products within those 6 categories. The shipping prices are different for each product so "A", "B" and "C" could each be in the same category but with different shipping prices for each product and each zone (in this case there would be 9 different amounts.) "D" and "E" could be in another category with different shipping prices for those items.

So for the 6 categories that we have and the 30 products, there are 90 different shipping prices!

I'm guessing that the code by "Ajeh" to limit shipping method to a category wouldn't work for our case since it's not priced by category. Any other ideas of how we can get this to work for us?

I want to set seprate flat rate shipping for each product.
Example I have mirrors that cost 9.50 to ship and cd's that cost 1.50 to ship. how do i set indivual rates for each?
