    Default Critical File Transfer Error

I am trying to enable SSL onto ZC 1.5.1 and after editing the two configure.php files I try to upload both into their correct folders. When I click upload I get the error Critical File Transfer Error. I am using Filezilla. I have no idea what to do or what this means. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Mark

That's not a ZC problem it's an FTP problem (Filezilla). It usually means that you don't have permission to write to the folder you're trying to upload into. You should check the permissions of that folder, and if you're trying to overwrite existing files then check the permissions for those files too.

Have you tried Core FTP Lite? I find it alot easier than Filezilla.

Before uploading these two files, make sure to set the existing same two files on your server to 777. Once the upload is complete reset the two files to "read" only (444).

I just did this exercise last weekend. See http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?56

IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember, your configure.php files are probably marked read-only. You'll need to change them to read-write in order to upload your updates, and then put them back to read-only. See the FAQ on setting file permissions.

Thanks Everyone for your help. I got it working now. I didn't have the permissions set right.
