title tag is empty on product pages

Thanks. I triied that initially and just now. It has no effect on the products where the 5 meta tags are set to off.

I used easypopulate to update products and it is my guess that it wiped out my meta-tag settings (easypopulate won't allow me to alter meta-tags so i don't see how it zapped them) I am assuming I may need to redo them one at a time.

Important bit of info NOT previously mentioned.
So you have indeed been "playing" with the database....

As these settings are in the "products" table I assume you are right that easypopulate has zapped them.
I have never used easypopulate but I would assume that you would have to set these settings, otherwise they would default to "something", probably off

You can use an sql patch to turn them all on.

Gilby, I think you are right on all counts. It took me a bit to recall that I had made some attempts at using EP and found it made more changes than I had wanted. Now I know the extent.

You are right-- Someone who knows what they are doing could easily update the table for the products. Someone like me that knows just enough-- would likely cause some other problem. Anyone out there able to write me up something? I'll send a load of crime scene shirts, candy and detecting supplies.

We don't need to be 'bribed' in order to help. Especially for something quite simple.


UPDATE `products` SET `metatags_title_status` = 1, `metatags_products_name_status` = 1, `metatags_model_status` = 1, `metatags_price_status` = 1, `metatags_title_tagline_status` = 1 ;


NOTE1: If your ZenCart install uses table prefixes, you'll need to modify the `products` part to suit. (eg: `zen_products`)
NOTE2: Change the '1's to '0's to disable the option(s).
NOTE3: This will update ALL of the products meta-data in a fraction of a second. Always make a backup of the table 1st.
