    Default Enable Error Logs??

I have two sites, both running 151. Neither seem to generate error logs, even when they are clearly erroring.

Is their some setting that I have to configure when installing that I have missed. I have read how moving from 1.3 to 1.5 was a vast improvement for error reporting but you couldn't prove it from what I'm (not) seeing.

There is no special setting, error logging is set by deafault.
Did you set your cache and/or log folder with write permissions?

Also check out the logs for your actual hosting webserver thingie, as I have found hard to find errors often show up there, especially if i have made a monumental bork up.

    Edit--------------

    1) When you say they are clearly erring, what are you seeing
    2) Is there a link where we can test this for ourselves
    3) What files are showing up in the /logs folder

I am getting blank, white pages. It doesn't generate an error on the server PHP logs, either.

If your DB credentials are wrong, you might not get any error logs.
If you've got missing, damaged, or incomplete PHP files that happen to get loaded before the error-logging instructions are processed, then those could be triggering failure before the logging can be started.

    Dr Byte,

I am noticing that it loops back to an add-on (http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...P-and-Zen-Cart) that is "ALREADY included in v1.3.9a" will installing it on top of my 1.5.1 code cause any problems or do any good?

The rest of the items in the article make sense but I just want to be certain.

    Thanks,

If you're using v1.5.1, then you don't want to install that old 1.3.9 addon.
As the FAQ article on the matter (http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?124-blank-page) says, just look in your /logs/ folder for the php debug logs.
