problem with new install

I had zencart working just fine until an upgrade took place. I tried to upgrade and that didnt work. I then tried a new install. version 1.5.1. I now get the following:

The following errors were found :

Could not write the Configuration File configure_.php

please help.

Did you install this to a folder fresh??

yes, even tried a couple of folders.. on to the root and one to the default.

You omit that a fresh distribution has no configure.php files

So how or where are they coming from??

you are asking me ? Aren't you the tech support? If I knew I wouldn't have posted my error. If you don't know that's fine. Just let me know how to uninstall and I will start over.

NO I am just one of the many volunteers here

Get a fresh distribution
Unzip it on your PC
Use ftp and transfer all files to a folder
Use your hosting account to create a new database
Also create a database user and assign it to the new database
Record the database name & database user & password

Navigate to the folder in your browser

http://your_domain/your_new_folder/zc_install

And proceed to install
